General Notes

  • USE THE MSAR! It should be free if you are part of the Fee Assistance Program!
  • Don’t be discouraged by the average GPA and MCAT scores, but be reasonable when applying!
    • It’s okay if you are below the average (I was), but if you are REALLY below average, I would consider another school.
    • E.g. since my MCAT score was 507, I didn’t apply to schools with average MCAT scores of 515+
  • Apply to schools with missions that align with yours to maximize the chances of that school selecting you.
  • Apply to schools you can see yourself going to and living for four years! If you hate big cities like New York City and L.A. you will be miserable if you go there. Save your time and money and consider another school instead!
  • To save money, don’t feel obligated to interview at additional schools if you already received an acceptance from a school you want to attend already.

Hope that helps you compile a great list of schools that are right for you! Good luck everybody!

With lobe,

Kelly
